I (Jackie) took over Austcom about one week ago and since then my emotions have ranged from excitement to sheer terror :). The highlight of my week was an excellent social media seminar run by Mayvin Training, put on by the Eurobodalla Shire Council, where Francine explained how to use Facebook effectively in business. Her expert advice will be invaluable to our clients.
There are big plans afoot:
- Rebranding Austcom as Webhive
- Moving to WordPress
- Creating a beautifu new webhive.com.au site – a work in progress!
- Better tailoring our services for businesses
- Increasing our own use of social media and helping our clients to the same
Community groups will not be forgotten. There are the lifeblood of our community and we intend to ensure that our service remains accessible to the not-for-profit sector.
