How to edit a menu in WordPress

To add a WordPress menu:

  1. Log into the WordPress dashboard
  2. Go to Appearance – Menu
  3. Make sure that the correct menu is selected near the top of the page. If not, select it and click the ‘Select’ button. The menu will appear below.
  4. You can now drag and drop the menu buttons from the list of pages on the left, into the menu. If you drag a button below and slightly to the right of another button, it will be part of the submenu on that button.
  5. To edit an individual menu button (eg to change the menu button text), click the downwards pointing triangle on that button.
  6. Click ‘Save menu’
